County Clare Furniture Project
Project Details
We are collaborating with Perch Furniture Design and Clare Local Development Company to create blade furniture for a local community centre.
Two pieces of blade furniture are in Glebe House in Kilrush for Clare Local Development Company. The furniture utilised middle and tip sections from 13m Nordex N29 blades donated by Everun in Belfast, which served 15 years on a Danish wind farm and 10 years on a farm in Northern Ireland before being decommissioned. This project was funded by the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications’ Circular Economy Innovation Grant, which CLDC won last year. Appreciation goes to Clare Local Development Company for their collaboration on this initiative.
We are also designing a blade bridge for the Cliffs of Moher Walk which will be constructed in 2024.
